In the News recently: South Africa may not have any private obstetricians in 4 years due to the rising insurance costs. The only four Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in Worcester will stop delivering babies from next year due to the high costs. The SA Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SASOG) estimate that about 100 of the 450 private obstetricians in South Africa will stop obstetrics next year due to the high cost. According to SASOG obstetricians need to charge a minimum of R13,000 per delivery just to cover their expenses for the delivery of which insurance is the main cost.

After specialising in Obstetrics & Gynaecology she established her private practice near the end of 2012 in Somerset West.
